Let there be Light!!!

The Kingdom of Love and Light is all around us. If you're following Jesus earnestly, you can see the miraculous signs and wonders. What kind of signs and wonders, you may ask. I don't know for each one of you. You're all so different and that's okay and I love that about the human race. For some it might be facing down your fears, or a sudden change in relationships that involving putting God first. The latter referring to people that have turned to Christ because of you and the others in the convert's life. There could be a change in attitude, being grateful and cheerful about doing the dishes, for example, instead of whining and complaining.

So I say, "Let there be Light." (Genesis 1:3)

And now an excerpt from one of the stories I wrote. It is a mythological story about how a clan festival began and how it came to celebrate and remember those who had passed on, but also to celebrate them in life.

Lord Reuben stared out at his people and began to tell a story from their past:
"This festival, Corpheus, dates back to the year 1626, when our ancestor Geru threw a celebration for my ancestor, Sprynth, who lost his wife and two of his children to the shadows of darkness in the north that year. Sprynth was greatly disturbed at his great loss, and as a result, our clan was afraid that Sprynth would fall the shadow of depression and grief. There was concern that our clan would fall to darkness, much like how Sprynth surely was.
But Geru was an elder of our clan at that time and was considered the wisest in all of clan Messaie. He threw his celebration for Sprynth and told him there that it was okay for him to grieve and miss his loved ones, but he was not honouring their memory by living in the shadows of darkness. He was missing out on what he had left in front of him.
Then the shadow of darkness was cast away from Sprynth and he could see the light in life again. When the light came upon him, on that day so many years ago, my ancestor sat down with his remaining family members and they talked about the times they had together, but that they would honour them not only in death, but also in life today.
We honour our ancestors and fallen friends when we defeat the shadows of fear or loneliness and all the others. We honour them when we follow the same principles and values that they stood for. Every one of us can defeat the shadow, not only on the battlefield, but in every relationship that we find ourselves in. My nephew, Whitney, even yesterday reminded me that the light is in all of us. Of this I am certain and would only add to his statement that together we are stronger. The forces of darkness cannot overcome us.”

Let not the forces of darkness overcome you.
