Word of God

This poem is based upon 1 John 2:12-14

The name of Jesus Christ

Saved me from my Sin

I trust on his promise

He moves me deep within

The God of the Beginning

The middle and the End

Our God the eternal

The Lord that does not bend

I look at all the people

Inside I feel weak

I can’t believe I’m nervous

I’m just so very helpless. I’m just so meek.

But the evil one I’ve defeated

God’s word tells me it’s so

I trust on his promise

God teaches me. I grow.

The Word of God

Living in me

It makes me invincible

Strong, you see.

It gives me power

Of God’s precious grace

Residing me while

I seek his face
